A collection of online trainings to support physical activity and nutrition best practices in early learning settings across Washington State

  • STARS Credits

As of October 1, 2023, online trainings can provide Washington State providers with State Training and Registry System credits through the Continuing Education Proposal (CEP) application provided by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF). STARS credits will no longer be issued automatically upon completion of the course on the Nourished & Active website. For more information on the CEP process, please visit the FAQ page. You can also learn more about this process on the DCYF webpage.

  • Free Account

To access trainings, you will need to create an account. The account and all trainings are free thanks to support from the Washington State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • Updates and New Features

Recently updated trainings include new features such as automated certificates, interactive discussion boards, and connections to Early Achievers. You can also log out of the training and save your progress. "Let's Move Child Care" trainings are now "Healthy Kids, Healthy Future".

Online STARS Trainings

Trainings may be eligible for 1 to 2 hours of credit through DCYF's Continuing Education Proposal process. See FAQ for more information.
